How Budget Blinds of Greater Corpus Christi turned local market knowledge into a steady stream of leads, and reached new homeowners first.
For five years, the team behind Motivent Marketing has run demand capture, branding and a new mover program for the Budget Blinds of Greater Corpus Christi territory across the Coastal Bend.
The Client
A territory built on booked consultations.
Budget Blinds of Greater Corpus Christi sells and installs custom window coverings for homes and businesses from Corpus Christi out to Portland, Rockport, Port Aransas and Alice. Owner Pam Hammett runs the territory with a small team that depends on a full calendar of in-home consultations.
The Challenge
National brand. Local buyers.
Pam came to us from a corporate-recommended agency that followed the national playbook. The national brand was strong, but Pam needed something more specific: marketing built for how Coastal Bend homeowners actually shop.
She had three goals:
- Grow lead volume across her territory, including her expansion into the Rockport territory
- Keep her brand consistent across every ad platform, inside Budget Blinds corporate guidelines
- Reach homeowners at the moment they need window coverings most: right after they move in
Our Approach
Learn the market first.
The difference was time spent understanding the region. We studied which neighborhoods were growing, how coastal homeowners search, what offers moved them, and where they spent their attention. Then we built every campaign around getting attention, building interest and desire, and prompting action in that specific market.
That meant neighborhood-level targeting from Corpus Christi to Portland, Rockport and Port Aransas, local creative, and offers tuned to the Coastal Bend instead of the national average.
Tactic Stack
Every channel, one direction.
Over five years, our team layered channels so homeowners kept seeing Budget Blinds from first search to booked consultation.
| Tactic | Role in the program |
|---|---|
| Search ads on Google, Bing and Yelp | Capture homeowners actively shopping for blinds, shutters and shades |
| SEO and answer engine optimization | Earn organic and AI search visibility for local window covering searches |
| Social media marketing | Keep the brand in front of local homeowners between purchases |
| Programmatic video and targeted display | Connected TV and display aimed at target households and home improvement intenders |
| Digital geofencing | Reach new movers, plus separate campaigns built on search and behavioral targeting |
| Direct mail | Put a specific offer in the hands of new movers |
| Local paid media | Local print and partner placements across the Coastal Bend |
| Outdoor, including billboards | Build local brand recognition along high-traffic routes |
| Conversion tracking and localized branding | Measure every form and call, and keep creative on brand and local |
Paid search has been the engine. In 2025, Paid Search drove more local leads than any other source, every single month.
New Mover Program
Reach new homeowners first.
A new homeowner is the best window covering prospect in any market. They have bare windows, a fresh budget and no installer loyalty. We built a program to reach them first.
Every month we buy a fresh list of new move-ins across the territory. Each household gets a direct mail piece with a single, specific offer. Digital geofencing and connected TV then reach the same households on their phones and the screens they already watch, so one offer shows up in the mailbox, the newsfeed and the living room TV.
To prove it works, we match every mailed address against Budget Blinds' own account file.
| New mover program | Result |
|---|---|
| New customers in 2025 | 17 |
| New customers, January to August 2026 | 6 |
| Active 2026 prospects | 7 |
| 2026 move-in households mailed | 945 |
| 2026 response rate | 1.38% |
| Share of all new 2026 accounts | 4.5%, or 1 in 22 |
On the connected TV side, the 2026 campaign delivered more than 56,000 impressions from January through May, concentrated in the territory's highest-value ZIP codes, with video completion above 98% every month.
Results
Steady leads. Growing audience.
The program delivers a steady, predictable flow of leads, and it keeps growing the audience behind them. In 2025 alone, 461 homeowners reached out locally, with a high of 54 in July.
- 850+ local leads. Since late 2023, more than 850 homeowners have reached out through Pam's local Google Business Profile and local franchise location page.
- Paid search leads every month. Google Ads was the top local lead source in every month of 2025.
- Traffic more than doubled. Local website sessions grew 117% in one year.
- Rockport, from new territory to new sales. When Pam bought the Rockport territory, we brought our demand capture efforts there and layered on local media to build demand. New sales in Rockport followed.
- New movers convert. 23 customers have come from the new mover program since 2025.
Every lead count in this case study comes from Pam's local Google Business Profile and local franchise location page. None of it includes leads generated by Budget Blinds corporate, which is tracked separately.
“They get our company and what we are trying to convey to potential customers.”
“I love working with Robert and his team. I always feel like I'm getting personalized service.”

For Franchisees
We know the brand. We know the playbook.
Corpus Christi is one of five Budget Blinds franchisees we have partnered with. One has successfully exited the business, and another bought a new territory to keep growing.
What franchisees get with Motivent:
- A team that knows the brand. Our VP of Growth Marketing and Creative Director have worked with Budget Blinds franchisees for over a decade.
- Co-op handled in-house. Our co-op team manages the paperwork so your marketing dollars stretch further.
- Corporate guidelines, local results. Every ad stays on brand, and every campaign is built for your market.
The same approach works for any home service business that lives on booked appointments: learn the market, show up at every stage of the buying decision, and measure what turns into revenue.
